School Community Involvement Program

Allow the Student Community Involvement Program (SCIP) to enhance your school volunteer program through presentations, advice and assistance.

SCIP aims to educate, inspire and connect young people under 18 years to volunteering in the local community. We do this by:

• Supporting schools to run a SCIP (including student volunteering, community service and service learning models)
• Organising in-school presentations and SCIP seminars on volunteering
• Helping not-for-profit NFPs to involve youth volunteers.

The Centre aims to overcome the barriers to NFP organisations involving young people, such as insurance issues and laws surrounding working with children. Enabling youth volunteers to fully participate in society.
